JAIPUR : PLACE AND CLIMATE

Jaipur is a planned medieval city founded in 1727 as the capital of erstwhile Dhoondhar kingdom by King Sawai Jai Singh and planned by the Architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya on the principle of Vastushashtra. It is one of the most lively, vibrant and functional cities still today. It is also the capital of the state of Rajasthan, located at a distance of around 265 km from national capital Delhi, well connected by the air, rail and road transportation well connected by the air, rail and road transportation network to other parts of the country. It has a heady mix of tradition and modernity, and famous as Pink City for its predominantly pink/rose and complimentary colour schemes. Jaipur offers a multitude of interesting places an tourist attractions, such as magnificent palaces and forts of Amber, Jaigarh, Nahargarh, City place, besides Hawa Mahal, Jal mahal,, Jantar Mantar etc. situated in the heart of the city. The weather of Jaipur in the month of February is pleasant, and the temperature in the day time remains between 18 to 25 C.
